Joyce M. Marvin, 78, Of Poughkeepsie

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Joyce M. Marvin, a resident of Poughkeepsie, died Sunday, Jan. 10. She was 78.

Marvin graduated from St. Joseph's School of Nursing and went on to work at Vassar Brothers Hospital. She retired in 2012 from Vassar Brothers Medical Center, after 40 years of service.

She is survived by her children, Peter Marvin and his wife Lorriann of Red Hook; Judi Palmer and her husband Larry of Poughkeepsie; and Justi Marvin of Poughkeepsie and her fiancé Ron Hollister; her twin sister, Judith Pannozzo of Poughkeepsie; her grandchildren, Peter Marvin and his wife Amber; Lisamarie Marvin, William Marvin, Thomas Marvin, Anthony Marvin, Ryan Palmer and Erica Palmer; her great-granddaughter, Miranda; as well as her cat, Smokey.

She was predeceased by her husband William E. Marvin.
