WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. -- John T. Rielly, a Wappingers Falls resident, died Thursday, Jan. 21. He was 69.
Rielly worked as an installer for New York Telephone for many years until his retirement.
He is survived by his daughters, Christine Flewelling and her husband, Ian, of Poughkeepsie, and Theresa DeFelice and her husband, Don, of Poughkeepsie; a sister, Rosemary McCauley; grandchildren Brianna, Marissa and Anthony DeFelice, and Alyssa Flewelling; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn; his brother, Robert Rielly; and his sister, Sue Murphy.
The family will receive their friends Monday, Jan. 25, from 4-8 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 E. Main St., Wappingers Falls.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Tuesday, Jan. 26, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 11 Clinton St., Wappingers Falls. The Rev. James Cruz will preside. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Wappingers Falls.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, Eastern Division, 121 Executive Drive, New Windsor, NY 12533.
