Jeffery J. Salvati, 60, Wappingers Falls

WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. -- Jeffery J. Salvati -- a Wappingers Falls resident, formerly of Middletown -- died on Saturday, March 19. He was 60.

Born in Middletown, Salvati had been a resident of Dutchess County since 1978. He worked as a glazier for 25 years, before opening his own business in 2003, Mid Hudson Glass in Poughkeepsie. "He was very grateful to all his customers, many of whom became special friends over the years," according to information from the funeral home.

Salvati was an avid sportsman and outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, kayaking and golfing. He was a longtime member of Mountaineers Rod and Gun Club in Rock Hill, which his great-grandfather began in 1937.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Guider; daughter Jennifer Salvati and her fiancé Conor Miller of Newburgh; father Joseph and his wife Linda Salvati of Cuddebackville; sister Karen and brother-in-law Charles Robinson of Middletown; several nieces and nephews; and a great niece and a great nephew.

Salvati was predeceased by his mother, Joyce VanDervoort.
