WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. -- Gordon S. Krakower, 85, of Wappingers Falls, died Sept. 30.
He was born Dec. 2, 1930, in Poughkeepsie. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. He retired as a detective from the 40th Precinct of the New York City Police Department after 32 years.
He is survived by his daughter, Roberta Moore and her husband Charlie and their son, CJ Moore; and son, James Charles and his children, Grace and Nicholas Charles.
He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia (McMullen) Krakower.
Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 15 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill Inc., 1089 Main St., Fishkill. A memorial service will follow at noon with military honors. Burial will be private at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Putnam Valley.
