FISHKILL, N.Y. -- Fishkill resident Edward F. De Chent, who had been a longtime Yonkers resident, died Saturday, Jan. 9. He was 75.
A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, De Chent worked for Asplundh Tree Expert Co. for 44 years. He retired as a foreman in 2010.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathleen; son Edward De Chent, wife Maria and their children Amanda, Brandon and Eva, of Putnam Valley; son Eric De Chent and his partner Helena of Wappingers Falls; daughter Mary Pugliese, her husband Edward and their children Erik, Lily and Shane, of Hopewell Junction; son Daniel De Chent, his wife Sonia and their children Daniel Jr. and Devin, of Wappingers Falls; brother Martin De Chent and his wife Cathy of Carmel and Kathleen Stefano of Fishkill; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
De Chent was predeceased by his parents, Emil and Mary Margaret (Bowe) De Chent; brother Donald De Chent; and sister Ann Marie Kelly.
Interment was at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Putnam Valley.
