POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Dean Myint, a longtime resident of Poughkeepsie died Thursday, Jan. 14. He was 47.
Myint worked for many years as a mental health therapy aide at the Hudson River Psychiatric Center in Poughkeepsie. He was an avid "Star Trek" and Beatles fan. He was the tech go-to person.
He is survived by his wife, Laurie; his mother, Frances Coster of Earlton, N.Y.; his stepfather, Charles Coster of Earlton; his stepchildren, Vincent Parise and his wife Kristin of Hyde Park and Fallin Gumaer and her husband Scott of Hyde Park; his brothers, Omar Myint and his wife Becky of St. Louis, Matthew Myint and his wife Tiffany of Virginia Beach, Va., and Daniel Myint of Virginia Beach; Justin Myint of Hudson; half-brother, Nasir Myint of Texas; grandchildren, Kylie, Gavyn, Lillyanna, Jaden, Amaiya and Brandon; and nieces and nephews Kaylee, Imani, Thomas and Alyssa.
He was predeceased by his father, Than Myint.
