Anthony Leo, 95, Of Poughkeepsie

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Anthony Leo, a lifelong resident of Poughkeepsie, died Monday, Jan. 18, at Wingate at Ulster. He was 95.

Leo was born Feb. 10, 1920, in Poughkeepsie to Antonio and Christina Franco Leo. He served in the Navy during World War II.

He worked for IBM for 30 years before retiring.

Leo was predeceased by two sisters, Rose DeStefano and Madaline Hines, and two brothers, John and Larry.

He is survived by his fiancé Shirley Enkler of Milton; three sisters, Joan Leo of Hyde Park, Dolores Garrison and Mary Wilkins of Raleigh, N.C.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Jan. 26, from 3-6 p.m. at Parmele Auchmoody & Schoonmaker Funeral Home, 110 Fulton Ave., Poughkeepsie.

A burial of ashes will be sometime in the spring at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
