The group, TRIP, released its report on Thursday, noting that population growth is the state has far surpassed the expansion of the transportation system, according to the report.
Based in Washington, D.C., TRIP estimated that drivers in Albany pay about $2,000 dealing with poor and congested roads, according to Time Warner Cable News, which noted that AAA reported more than 200,000 flat tires in 2015.
The poor condition of the roads is the results of pot holes, crumbling bridges and extreme weather, according to Time Warner Cable News.
