Dutchess County Welcomes Dozens Of New Citizens

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Dutchess County officials welcomed a new group of United States citizens on Friday during a naturalization ceremony, according to officials.

Among those on hand to congratulate the new citizens on taking the Oath of Allegiance to the United States was Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro, according to the county's Twitter feed.

The event, which officially recognized dozens of Dutchess County residents as citizens, was just one held in the Lower Hudson Valley on Friday.

In Rockland County, officials welcomed another group of immigrants to the country as naturalized citizens.
