New York State Police officers from Dover Plains arrested Michael Azzarito on Monday. He's been charged with second-degree criminal sexual act, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor, police said.
Police were assisted by a state police investigator from the Dutchess County Child Advocacy Center. The arrest follows an investigation in which the sexual conduct was discovered, police said.
Azzarito appeared in Dover Town Court, police said. He's being held in Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 secured bond and in anticipation of a later court date.
