Alert Issued For Missing Town Of Poughkeepsie Man Who Could Be In NYC Area

A Missing Adult Alert has been issued relating to the disappearance of a 72-year-old Poughkeepsie man authorities said they believe could be in New York City, specifically Manhattan or Brooklyn.

The affected jurisdictions for the alert include Dutchess, Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange, Columbia, Sullvan and Greene counties as well all of New York City and Nassau County.

Phillip Overing, who was last seen at his home on Spring Manor Circle in the Town of Poughkeepsie on Sunday, July 10, is white, 5-foot-6, 130 pounds wearing a blue button-down shirt and gray dress pants. He has gray hair and blue eyes, authorities said. He has dementia and bipolar disorder, authorities said.

The alert was issued at the request of the Poughkeepsie Town Police Department.
