Texas Roadhouse Targets Route 9 Area In Poughkeepsie

POUGHKEEPSIE, N. Y. -- Poughkeepsie planners are scheduled today to hear about plans for a new Texas Roadhouse for the Route 9 area, adding to the recent stream of new chain restaurants planning to move into Dutchess County, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.

If plans are approved by Poughkeepsie officials, the Texas Roadhouse would open a 7,000-square foot restaurant at 2323 South Road in Poughkeepsie later this year, reports Poughkeepsie Journal.

Other chains planning to open up in the area include a Hardees, Golden Corral and Popeye's. This influx of restaurants may address some of the concerns about a lack of dining choices, the Poughkeepsie Journal says.
