It happened around 8:20 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9 near the New York/Massachusetts border in Columbia County, in the town of New Lebanon. New York State Police said an investigation determined a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek operated by Western Massachusetts resident Erica C. Florin, age 36, of the town of Lee in Berkshire County, was eastbound on US Highway 20 when she struck two pedestrians in the crosswalk. Local residents charged include:  Westchester County On Friday, Dec. 20, State Police from Brewster arrested Michael A. Verella, 44, of Somers, for DWI. He was traveling on Interstate 684 in the town of Southeast, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Missing Alligator On The Loose In Hudson Valley Found A missing 6-foot alligator named Kobe had deputies on the hunt for a few days, but luckily the slippery, bug-eyed guy was found in a neighbor's yard. Kobe was reported missing on Saturday, May 25, by Columbia County Sheriff David P. Bartlett on Facebook. The Sheriff's said that deputies were investigating a burglary of a residence on Cemetery Road in the Town of New Lebanon in which an alligator had been stolen.
