'Exciting Upgrades': Construction Starts On Westlake Campus Construction is officially underway for a series of what Mount Pleasant Central School District officials are calling “exciting upgrades” taking place at the Westlake campus throughout the summer. Construction crews have been working hard to ensure that as many upgrades as possible are prepared prior to the start of the 2019-2020 school year. So far, the areas around the tennis courts have been cleared and leveled. Report Of Suspicious Behavior Leads To Lockout At Mount Pleasant Central School District A report of suspicious behavior caused a lockout at the Mount Pleasant Central School District on Monday, May 13. "At approximately 10 a.m, the district was notified by Mount Pleasant Police that a person was in custody due to suspicious behavior," Dr. Kurtis Kotes, Superintendent of Schools, said in an email sent shortly before 10:30 a.m. "They have updated us on the situation and informed us that the person is a non-threat and has been cited for hunting in an unauthorized area.
