ID Released For Man Killed After Truck Becomes Engulfed In Flames The man killed when a tree fell, bringing down wires and causing the truck to catch fire on Tuesday has been identified by Danbury police as a local resident. Walter Cardenas Salinas, 45, of Danbury, was killed around 8:38 a.m. when a very large tree fell on the passenger side of the 2014 Dodge Ram truck he was riding in on Padanaram Road, said Danbury Police Det. Person Killed As Car Becomes Engulfed In Flames By Downed Wires In Danbury A car became engulfed in flames after wires fell on the vehicle, killing one person, according to the Danbury Police Department. The incident took place around 8:48 a.m. Tuesday in the area between Jeanette Street and Pembroke Road, said Det. Ralph Anderson. The person was discovered when the police department, along with the Danbury Fire Department, responded to a report of wires down in the area, said Anderson.
