Asylum Seekers Fight: New Emergency Order Issued By County Exec In Hudson Valley A county government in the Hudson Valley has signed a new emergency order in response to New York City's efforts to send asylum seekers to the county. Rockland County Executive Ed Day enacted a new Emergency Order in response to what Day says is "the City of New York’s discriminatory program to establish unlawful city shelters in Rockland County."
