Westchester Father Accused Of Stabbing Son In Chest With Large Kitchen Knife A father has been accused of stabbing his son during a New Year’s Day argument in Westchester, police said. Nelson Vargas, 60, was arrested on Wednesday, Jan. 1, following an investigation into an altercation that took place at approximately 3:15 a.m., New Rochelle Police Capt. Cosma Costa stated. It is alleged that Vargas stabbed his 21-year-old son in the chest with a large kitchen knife after an argument broke out in a Drake Avenue apartment complex.
