2 Hospitalized After Fast-Moving Apartment Fire Breaks Out In Westchester: Developing Authorities are warning commuters to stay away from an area in Westchester County because of an active apartment fire.  The fast-moving blaze erupted on Thursday evening, Jan. 19 in Yonkers at an apartment building on Mulberry Street, according to an announcement by Yonkers Police from around 5:20 p.m. Because of the fire, police are advising drivers to stay away from Ashburton Avenue between Yonkers Avenue and North Broadway to avoid heavy traffic. Seen Him? Police Issue Alert For Man Wanted In Westchester On Robbery, Strangulation Charges Have you seen him? The Yonkers Police Department has issued an alert for 21-year-old Altmond Shakes, who is wanted on charges that include robbery and strangulation dating back to an incident earlier this year. Police described Shakes as being 6-foot-2 and weighing approximately 200 pounds with a large build. He has brown eyes, black hair and he is known to frequent Mulberry Street in Yonkers. Anyone who recognizes Shakes, or who has information about his whereabouts has been asked to contact investigators at the Yonkers Warrant Squad by calling (914) 377-7253.
