ID'd Released For Man Found Dead At Metro-North Station In Area A man whose body was found under the Springdale train station platform in Stamford has been identified as a New Canaan resident. Stephen Sugrue, 65, was found under the platform late Saturday afternoon, Dec. 29, according to Metro-North officials. The cause of death is pending results the Medical Examiner's Office. MTA police are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death. Sugrue's death was the second death of a New Canaan resident near the tracks. John Hickey, 50, was killed on Dec. 13, 2018, by a train between the Darien and Noroton Heights stations.

John Hickey, 50, of New Canaan, was struck and killed Thursday night near Darien, said Metro-North officials. The incident took place around 7:35 p.m. Dec. 13 at Noroton Heights.
