Car Crashes Into Post Office Entrance In Northern Westchester
A Northern Westchester post office was damaged when a vehicle crashed into its entrance. The incident happened on Wednesday, March 6, when a vehicle crashed into the entrance of the Mount Kisco Post Office at 3 Morgan Dr., according to the Independent Fire Company #13. The driver was later evaluated by Mount Kisco EMS, firefighters said. The vehicle was eventually removed after the Mount Kisco Building Department checked the structure, according to the department. The cause of the crash was not released.

Fire Destroys Century-Plus Old Home In Northern Westchester
A Northern Westchester home built in the 1890s was destroyed overnight when a massive fire broke out, officials said. First responders from multiple agencies responded to a home on Bedford Road at 1:11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 18 in Pleasantville, when a fire was discovered by a New Castle Fire Marshal who was passing by in the area. According to officials from the Chappaqua Fire Department, crews were able to extinguish the bulk of the fire from the outside, but by the time they had, it had already spread to the inside of the structure. County Police Honor Officer Who Saved Infant's Life In Northern Westchester
Westchester Couny Police Office Efrain Rivera, assigned to the Mount Kisco precinct, is the department's "officer of the month." On March 26, Officer Rivera responded to the Bet Tora Synagogue in Mount Kisco for a report of child having a seizure. Upon arrival, Rivera encountered an infant who was breathing but unresponsive and suffering from an apparent high fever. Rivera removed the infant's clothing, used ice packs to reduce body temperature and monitored the infant's vital signs until EMS arrived.
