Firefighter Falls Through Floor While Battling Blaze At North Salem Home
A firefighter fell through a floor during the response to a blaze at a Northern Westchester residence. The blaze began on Tuesday, Oct. 29 inside the laundry room at a North Salem home on Nash Road, according to the Croton Falls Fire Department. Arriving fire crews soon began dousing the flames with hose lines and started making their way inside. Crash Temporarily Closes Road In Brewster, Causes Injury
A vehicle was left on its side following a crash in the Hudson Valley that caused an hour-long road closure. The crash happened in Putnam County on Friday afternoon, Oct. 4, when vehicles collided on Starr Ridge Road near Danbury Road (Route 202) in Brewster, according to the Brewster Fire Department. One driver suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash. According to the department, Starr Ridge Road was closed for around an hour as the crash site was cleared. The cause was not detailed.

Firefighters made use of a rope system during the dramatic rescue of a victim who fell around 20 feet down a steep hill in Northern Westchester. The incident happened on Saturday, June 8, when an elderly person fell from the top of a steep hill in the Village of Mount Kisco, according to the Mount Kisco Volunteer Fire Department. A school bus with children on board crashed into a telephone pole in Northern Westchester, according to multiple reports. Route 202 Down To One Lane Following Rollover Crash
Traffic is being diverted to one lane on Bear Mountain Bridge Road at Route 202 following a three-vehicle crash that involved a rollover. The crash occurred around 2:23 p.m. Tuesday on Route 202, said New York State Trooper A.J. Hicks. According to Hicks, there were several minor injuries resulting from the crash. While most of the country was spending Memorial Day Weekend celebrating the holiday, first responders in Peekskill were busy, responding to several serious accidents in a 24-hour span.
