O'Shaughnessy was owner and president of Whitney Radio, which owns and operates WVOX in Westchester County. A 1999 New York Times profile described O'Shaughnessy as "a flamboyant figure, a tall man with bright silver hair and a penchant for London-made suits and Corvette convertibles." Westchester 23-Year-Old Dies After Injuries In 2016 Car Crash A 23-year-old Westchester man who defied death for nearly two years after sustaining a traumatic brain injury during a car crash has passed away after suffering a seizure and going into cardiac arrest over the weekend. New Rochelle native Jyrel Daniel had come home from college in June 2016 when he was in a car with his friends that was struck by a driver in a BMW going 75 mph in a posted 25 mph.
