9/11 Memorial Falling Apart In Westchester: Officials To Come Up With New Replacement Officials are coming up with a new plan to replace a 9/11 memorial at a public park in Westchester that has started falling apart.  The People's 9/11 Memorial Wall, located in Hartsdale at Richard Presser Park on Central Avenue, has begun deteriorating, according to Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner.  The memorial, which was built in 2003 after a collaboration between the town of Greenburgh and Arts Westchester, consists of around 1,800 ceramic tiles from an art workshop that were affixed to a wall.  According to Feiner, many of these tiles began falling off the wa…

ShopRite Could Be Opening Mount Kisco Store A new ShopRite could soon be coming to Northern Westchester. The Village of Mount Kisco is hosting a joint village board and planning board meeting Thursday, Jan.18 to discuss plans for bringing the supermarket to 333 North Bedford Road, opposite Staples. The 70,000 square foot supermarket would be relocated from its Bedford Hills location, also on Route 117. "The current zoning doesn't permit for it," Mayor Gina Picinich said.
