A serious crash caused the lengthy closure of a portion of a busy main route in Northern Westchester.

New, updated report - Wrong-Way Driver Killed After Hitting Truck In Somers, Police Say

Route 100 south of Route 35 in the town of Somers was shut down as a result, the Somers Volunteer Fire Department announced on Monday, Oct. 30 around 3:50 p.m.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area.

More details about the crash have not yet been released by authorities.
