Abracadabra for Somers Special Education PTA

SOMERS, N.Y. – The second annual Somers Magic Show sponsored by the Somers Special Education PTA is coming up on Friday, April 20. There will be a bounce house, face painters, hair braiders, carnival games, balloon sculpting, a 50/50 raffle and a strolling magician, who may even give a few hints about how he achieves his magic. The highlight of the evening will be the onstage Magic Show.

Parent Michelle Burns said, “Last year was such a great success that we had to move the event from Primrose over to the high school to accommodate the number of attendees."

The carnival games will be in the gym, the food and treats in the Commons, and the Magic Show in the auditorium. Every seat has a great view.

Refreshments include pizza, hot dogs, snacks and treats. There is a mystery prize, too, and a chance to purchase souvenirs and magic tricks.

Proceeds from the night will help fund the Special Education PTA, one of the five PTA organizations operating under the Somers PTA Council. Its services benefit all students in the district who receive any sort of specialized education.

The night of magic is from 6:15 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Somers High School. Tickets are $8 at the door.
