Woman Charged With Stealing Chairs From Yorktown Sears

YORKTOWN, N.Y. – Police charged Theresa A. Nikisher-Guinee, 53, Peekskill, with petit larceny and endangering the welfare of a minor, both class A misdemeanors, according to a police report.

Police Officer R. Rohr went to Sears following a larceny complaint. After Rohr investigated, he alleged that Nikisher-Guinee took two plastic folding chairs, valued at $45.98 total, marked them with Sears tape as if they had been paid for, and then left the store, according to the police report.

The police report that contacted Nikisher-Guinee, and asked her to appear at Police Headquarters, which she did voluntarily. Police allege that Nikisher-Guinee hid the chairs with her 10-year-old son.

Police arrested Nikisher-Guinee, who was released on $100 bail. She is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on Nov. 24.
