State Police Charge Two During DWI Checkpoint In Somers

SOMERS, N.Y. -- Two people were charged during a DWI sobriety checkpoint on Route 35 in the town of Somers on Saturday evening, according to state police.

Edmon A. Shahikian, 30, a resident of Katonah, who refused a chemical test, is due in Somers Court on a misdemeanor DWI arrest, state police reported. His court appearance is scheduled for Monday, July 13.

Jeanelle Legeset, 39, a resident of Mahopac, was charged with felony DWI after police say she had a blood alcohol content of .15 percent. She is also due to appear in Somers Town Court July 13.
