Somers State Police Charge Purdys Man With Larceny

SOMERS, N.Y. -- A 31-year-old Purdys man was arrested and charged with grand larceny, attempted assault and resisting arrest, Somers State Police said.

Foster Moore was arrested at his residence Tuesday in Purdys after a complaint that he stole jewelry and silverware from a home, according to New York State Police in Somers. During the arrest, Moore "began violently resisting arrest while being escorted to a police vehicle," according to state police.

In addition to the third-degree grand larceny charge, moore was also charged with second-degree attempted assault and resisting arrest. He was later arraigned in the Town of North Salem Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $10,000  bail, according to state police.
