Warren Donohue, 83, Of Somers

SOMERS, N.Y. – Warren J. Donohue, of Somers, died Jan. 5, surrounded by his family. He was 83.

He was born April 30, 1929, in the Bronx to Frank and Marie Collins Donohue. He was raised in the Bronx, with two siblings, Frank Donohue and Florence Miller, who predeceased him.

Donohue served in the U.S. Air Force, graduated from Iona College and worked as a sales and marketing executive for Coats North America for many years. He married Margaret “Peg” Corcoran at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church on City Island in the Bronx in 1952.

They raised their family in New City, where Donohue was active in his church, St. Augustine, and his community. He started a CYO sports program at St. Augustine and coached Little League for many years. 

He supported extracurricular activities and led fundraising efforts at Albertus Magnus High School. He also served as a state committee member for the Rockland Republican Party. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church in Croton Falls.

Donohue is survived by his wife; four children, Warren (Lauren), of Rock Tavern, Brian (Maureen), of Brewster, Meg (Tom) Sivulich, of Hawthorne, and Kevin (Mary), of New City; nine grandchildren; and three great-granchildren. 

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph’s Church. Clark Associates Funeral Home in Katonah is handling the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Lung Association or St. Joseph’s Church.
