SOMERS, N.Y. - Jerome A. Edwards of Somers died Monday, Nov. 4. He was 86.
Edwards was born in New York City, to Jerome and Agnes Edwards. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran serving in World War II. Following the service, he graduated from Iona College. He was president of Edwards, Platt and Deely Plumbing and Heating sales in Bronxville.
Edwards is survived by his wife, Helen Edwards; children, Susan Underwood (Clinton) of Kennesaw, Ga., Eileen Edwards of New Fairfield, Conn., and Carolyn Nesbitt (James) of North Salem four grandchildren; siblings, Rita Rudy and Robert Edwards. He was predeceased by his brother, John Edwards.
Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7 at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8 at St. Joseph's RC Church, 10 Croton Falls Road, Croton Falls. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Somers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to National Kidney Foundation.
