SOMERS, N.Y. - Harry Boltons unexpected retirement from the Somers Town Board last month left a vacant seat on the dais, which will need to be filled on a temporary basis. On Election Day in November, voters will be asked to choose between candidates for a councilperson to complete Boltons term, which expires Dec. 31, 2013.
In the meantime, Supervisor Mary Beth Murphy is seeking someone who might be interested in filling Boltons chair until November. This is an appointed position. Interested parties can apply by submitting a letter of interest to Murphy before April 23, 2012. Letters may be emailed to Mbmurphy@somersny.com.
