The identity has been released of the worker who was killed outside a building in Westchester after being electrocuted when his cherry picker struck power lines, police said.

Alejandro Manuel Caisaguano Pellisa, 26, of the Bronx, was working at a construction site at 164 Union Ave. in New Rochelle when the incident happened at around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12.

The New Rochelle police and fire departments responded.

Subsequent investigation revealed that the worker, while in the cherry picker performing exterior work on the building, accidentally struck high voltage wires, sustaining fatal injuries, according to Captain Cosmo Costa, commanding officer of the New Rochelle PD.

The New Rochelle Fire Department made notification to the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA).

The New Rochelle Buildings Department is also conducting a follow-up investigation, Costa said.
