Israeli Soldiers To Speak In Somers

SOMERS, N.Y. - Fifteen officers in the Israel Defense Forces, all of them either born in or the children of USSR emigres to Israel, will visit the Hebrew Congregation of Somers on Sunday, December 4.

The soldiers, both men and women, will discuss their experiences in the Israeli military in both peace and war. The group is visiting the New York area to become better acquainted with the American Jewish community and in turn to teach the worldwide Jewish community about Jewish Identity.

The event will take place at 11 a.m. on December 4 at the synagogue, Cypress Lane & Mervyn Drive, in Shenorock. Admission is free and all are welcome. For further information, email the congregation or telephone 914-248-9532.
