A landmark restaurant in Westchester has closed its doors after a near half-century run.

Owners Peter Dicostanzo and Lillian Camps announced that the Land & Sea restaurant will be shuttering its doors on Saturday, June 1 after 45 years in Harrison.

“To all our dedicated patrons of Land & Sea Restaurant,” the two posted on Facebook. “Over the past 45 years, we have had the honor to serve our loyal patrons.

“We are sad to say that our last day open to the public (is this month). We are still serving the Complete Dinners so come and enjoy the last meal at Land & Sea. A la Carte menu is getting limited but there are still plenty to choose from. Please enjoy an old video clip (above) from the old Land & Sea. We hope to see you soon. Thank you.”

On Sunday, June 9, Dicostanzo posted a picture on social media in an attempt to give away a lobster tank.

“Peter Dicostanzo from Land & Sea Restaurant in Harrison is giving away a Lobster Tank that is sitting in the rear parking lot of the restaurant. It has a new pump. We left some filter pads as well. Anyone can come and pick it up for FREE. No need to call. First one to get here gets it!”

“Sorry to hear but wishing all of you the best,” Thomas G. Leonardi said. “My parents Tom and Loretta Leonardi loved The Land & Sea and had many great meals there. We all did over the years. From anniversaries, wedding parties, graduations and gatherings when some of our loved ones passed, Peter and the team were always gracious. Thanks and God bless.”

On Facebook, Angela Capria Radogna posted, “I am so sad to see it closing. My favorite restaurant. All of my family functions were held here. From celebrating milestone birthdays to funerals of all family members. I have enjoyed it there forever and will miss it very much.”
