The Scoop: Longford's is the elder statesman of Westchester ice cream classics. In business for more than 25 years, it's known for starting the "own made" trend using local milk and cream in support of regional farmers. Ice cream and sorbet are made in small batches with seasonal ingredients and dairy high in butterfat to ensure a silky texture.
