The fire happened on Tuesday morning, Oct. 29, when a blaze broke out at a building housing the Tarry Tavern at 27 Main St. in Tarrytown, according to village officials.

The blaze was eventually put out with no injuries thanks to the efforts of the Tarrytown Fire Department and several other agencies from the area, officials said.

According to the village, the entire building suffered "significant damage" but the blaze was prevented from spreading to surrounding structures.

Main Street is now closed between Kaldenberg Place and Washington Street.

Officials have not disclosed the cause of the fire.
