Kids, Teens Can Compete In Pokemon Battle Party At Somers Library

SOMERS, N.Y. -- The Somers Library Teen Advisory Group is presenting its second biannual Pokemon Battle Party.

The event will be Saturday, Jan. 30. The younger group (grades 2-4) will meet from 1:30-2:30 p.m.; the older group (grades 5 and up) will meet from 2:30-3:45 p.m.

Please join in a friendly competition to battle Pokemon using a 3DS or a DS. Bring cards as well to show and battle independently. 

The rules are as follows:

  • Every participant must bring either their 3DS or their DS to the tournament. 
  • Every participant must bring the following games for their device: For 3DS - X, Y or OR/AS; for DS - Black 2, White 2 or lower. 
  • Please bring chargers from home. 
  • During initial battles, normal rules will apply. For the final battle, there will be no set level limit restrictions. No Pokemon with hacked moves is allowed. 

There will be snacks and small prizes for all.

The program is paid for by The Friends of the Somers Library.
