Kids Discover 'Adventures in Horticulture' In Somers

SOMERS, N.Y. -- You and your child or grandchild can have fun together as you learn the basics of gardening during “Adventures in Horticulture” at Lasdon Park Arboretum and Veterans Memorial in Somers.

Come to Lasdon Park, Arboretum and Veterans Memorial every Friday in August to learn about plants.

The program is or for youngsters ages 3-6 and will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. every Friday morning in August.

Master Gardener Caroline Fanelli will show children and adults how to explore the world of nature through greenhouse and gardening activities, nature walks and special projects, with different activities each week.

The fee is $6 per child, per session, which includes supplies. Registration is required.
