The blaze happened in Putnam County on Tuesday, Nov. 5 just after midnight, when flames went up on a home's porch in the Lake Secor area of Mahopac, according to the Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department. Arriving fire crews soon realized three people were still inside the residence and quickly went inside to remove them.
