Westchester Man Among Trio Charged With Attempted Murder In NYC Jail
An alleged gang member from Westchester was among three charged in federal court for their roles in a jail assault where they allegedly attempted to murder a fellow inmate. Kendall Newland, 25, of Mount Vernon, Kalvin Thwaites, 26, of Queens, and Andrew Burrell, 28, of the Bronx and all alleged members of the MacBallas street gang, have been charged with attempted murder for an assault attempt on an inmate inside a New York City Jail in June 2017.
