A driver had to be freed from their vehicle after it flipped and landed on a sidewalk alongside a busy Westchester road. The crash happened on Friday, Nov. 1, when a vehicle crashed on South Broadway (Route 9) in the village of Irvington-on-Hudson and became wedged between a telephone pole and a wall, according to Irvington EMS. Person Trapped After Vehicle Rolls Over In Westchester County
A person had to be rescued after they were trapped inside a rolled-over vehicle in Northern Westchester. On Sunday, Nov. 27 around 12:20 a.m., firefighters responded to a report of an overturned vehicle in Yorktown Heights on Crow Hill Road in the area of Colonial Hill Road, according to the Yorktown Heights Volunteer Fire Department. A woman was rescued from her submerged vehicle in freezing water following a crash on the Saw Mill Parkway. The incident took place around 8:23 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 18, when the Yonkers Fire Department Engine Company 310 was dispatched to a call of a motor vehicle accident on the Saw Mill River Parkway, said Deputy Chief Joseph Citrone. Two Good Samaritans are being hailed as heroes after rushing to pull an unconscious woman who was trapped inside an overturned vehicle engulfed in flames on the Taconic State Parkway near the Northern Westchester/Putnam border on Thursday.
