2 Killed After Mid-Air Plane Crash In Arizona Two people were killed after a mid-air collision between two planes at an airport in Arizona. The incident happened Wednesday, Feb. 19 at Marana Regional Airport, outside Tucson. Both were smaller, fixed-wing, single-engine planes, according to the Marana Police Department. No further information, including identities of the victims, has been released. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are investigating. Yonkers Native Joan Marie (Cronin) Hastings, Devoted Community Volunteer, Dies At 88 After a long life defined by commitment and adventure, Joan Hastings passed away Saturday afternoon, Jan. 5, 2019 in Scottsdale, AZ, at the age of 88. Hastings is predeceased by two husbands, William Hastings (1923-1994) whom she married on October 24, 1953 in Yonkers, and Earl Terp (1927-2016) whom she married February 10, 2010 in Tucson, AZ. She is survived by one sister, Diane of Falmouth, ME.
