Yorktown Police say they received a report of a physical altercation at the 7-Eleven at 1949 Commerce Street on Sunday, April 7 around 3:30 p.m. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the suspect, identified as 24-year-old Quameik Byrd of Yorktown, allegedly struck the victim with a closed fist and caused substantial pain, bruising and swelling, police said.
