Lane Closures To Affect Stretch Of Taconic State Parkway In Westchester Motorists who regularly travel on the Taconic State Parkway in Northern Westchester are being warned of upcoming lane closures that will slow down traffic.  Two lanes of the southbound Taconic State Parkway in Yorktown between Exit 17B (Bear Mountain Parkway) and Exit 14 (Baldwin Road) are scheduled to close on Thursday, Aug. 31, the New York State Department of Transportation announced.  The closures will last between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and will facilitate guide rail repairs, officials said.

Vehicle Loses Control, Hits Tree On Taconic State Parkway In Westchester Emergency crews were sent to the Taconic State Parkway in Northern Westchester after a vehicle lost control and struck a tree, injuring the driver.  The incident happened on Thursday, Aug. 24 around 6:45 p.m., when fire crews responded to the southbound Taconic State Parkway in the area of the Mohansic Avenue ramp for a reported crash.  According to the Yorktown Heights Fire Department, arriving crews found out that a vehicle had spun out and hit a tree after losing control.  The driver was later taken to an area trauma center by the Yorktown Volunteer Ambulance Corps.&…
