15-Year-Old Is Latest Charged After Threat Causes Schools In Area To Go Remote One day after an 11-year-old girl was arrested for making online threats against two area schools, another student has been arrested in a separate incident. The second incident took place in Dutchess County on Tuesday, March 22 when a community member reported another threat of school violence against Poughkeepsie High School and Poughkeepsie Middle School to City of Poughkeepsie police, said Irwin Goldberg, spokesman for the school district. Eighth-Grader With BB Gun At School Charged In Hudson Valley A Dutchess County middle school student has been arrested for allegedly bringing a BB gun to school despite enhanced procedures. The student was charged on Thursday, March 10 at Poughkeepsie Middle School, said Irwin Goldberg, the public information officer for the Poughkeepsie School District. "District officials are reviewing video and gathering facts via internal investigation to determine how the weapon may have gotten into the school," said Goldberg.  Any information will be shared with law enforcement, he added.
