Firefighter Hit By Car At Scene Of Vehicle Rollover In Hudson Valley: 'Please Slow Down' A firefighter was injured after they were struck by a car while responding to a vehicle rollover in the Hudson Valley.  The incident happened in Putnam County on Wednesday, March 15, when firefighters and Carmel Volunteer Ambulance Corps members responded to a vehicle rollover in Carmel on Stoneleigh Avenue near Putnam Hospital, firefighters announced on Saturday, March 18. According to the Carmel Fire Department, first responders found that the driver had escaped from the rolled-over car themselves.
