Purses, Laptops Stolen From Vehicles At Trail Parking Lot In Westchester
Authorities in Northern Westchester are investigating several car break-ins that happened at a trailway parking lot. The incidents happened on Wednesday, Feb. 7 between 4 and 4:30 p.m. in Yorktown at the North County Trailway parking lot on Route 118, according to Yorktown Police. According to the department, the suspects involved forced their way into three locked vehicles and stole several items, including purses and laptops. Part Of Busy Westchester Roadway To Close For Nearly A Month
A section of a busy roadway in Northern Westchester will soon close for four weeks. The section of Route 118 in Yorktown between Birdsall Drive and Hanover Street will close starting on Monday, Oct. 17, at 12 a.m. and continue to Monday, Nov. 14, Department of Transportation officials said. Three suspects who ransacked a pharmacy during a robbery in Northern Westchester are in custody after a manhunt, authorities announced. The incident happened on Thursday, June 30 at around 4:20 p.m. at the Yorktown Pharmacy on Commerce Street. One person was seriously injured after being hit by a car in Northern Westchester. It happened around 2:10 p.m. Tuesday, May 17 in Yorktown on Route 118 in the area of the North County Trail. An initial investigation revealed that a bicycle being ridden by a 66-year-old Mamaroneck resident was struck by a vehicle being driven by a 71-year-old Rhinebeck resident, said Lt. Westchester Man Found In Stopped Vehicle Faces DWI Charge, Police Say
A 30-year-old woman has been charged with DWI after police say she was found in a stopped vehicle in Northern Westchester. Yorktown Police say they observed a disabled vehicle stopped on Route 118 in the Town of Yorktown on Thursday, May 30 around 8 p.m. Further investigation revealed that the driver, identified as Michelle Louisseize, of Elmsford, was operating the vehicle while intoxicated, according to police.
