Village In Westchester Seeks Red-Light Cams For Busy Intersection A village in Westchester is attempting to become the first to get the green light to install red-light cameras at one of the county's busier intersections. Officials in Pelham Manor are seeking approval to install two red-light cameras at the intersection of Pelhamdale Avenue and Boston Post Road (Route 1) at both Pelhamdale approaches. The bill has already passed in both the state Assembly and Senate, and now just awaits the signature of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. Support Pours In For Family Of Man Killed In Greenburgh Crash Graciano Calderon was meeting his son for lunch in Westchester when he was struck and killed by a motorist while walking on the side of the road in Westchester last week. Calderon, 75, of White Plains, was walking on Tarrytown Road in Greenburgh to meet his son at his job on Friday, Jan. 24, when he was hit by a driver and later died from his injuries. Police said that the driver was heading eastbound on Tarrytown Road after turning from Old Kensico Road when Calderon was struck. County Lawmakers Move One Step Closer To Approving Red Light Cameras For careless or impatient motorists, racing through yellow or red traffic lights may be reduced throughout Westchester.
