A school district in Westchester has named its next leader after an extensive nationwide search. The Yonkers Board of Education unanimously voted to confirm Anibal Soler Jr. as the city's next superintendent of schools, Yonkers school officials announced on Friday, Feb. 9. A superintendent at one of the largest school districts in Northern Westchester has just announced he will be retiring. Andrew Selesnick has been in his post at the Katonah-Lewisboro School District since 2015, when he accepted the position after serving as principal at Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua. Former New York State Education Department Regent and prominent Hudson Valley educator Judith Johnson has died.
