Staff Member At Children's Center In Westchester Tests Covid-19 Positive A Northern Westchester children's center has closed until the end of March after an employee tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The Ossining Children's Center, located on South Highland Avenue, made the announcement on Facebook following the positive diagnosis. Howard Milbert, the center's executive director, said on Facebook that he understood the post may have been alarming, but it was the fastest way to get the word out. Greenburgh Offering Pre-Registration For Pre-K Program The Greenburgh Central School District will be offering pre-registration for its early childhood program on Thursday.Pre-registration will take place at 6 p.m. at the Woodlands High School Auditorium, at 475 West Hartsdale Avenue in Hartsdale. The pre-K program, both full day and half day, is for all children who will be turning four years old by Dec. 1 and who are residents of Greenburgh. No income-requirements are required for Universal Pre-K. Applications will be distributed based on a first come, first served basis.
